The publication is a monograph about Brandlhuber+’s built and ongoing projects in Berlin, Germany, Austria, Uruguay, Poland, and Sicily between 2010 and 2021. The projects do not appear in chronological order, but are grouped according to their strategical approaches, that outline the practice’s design methods: contextualizing, orienting, opening, terracing, externalizing, and enabling. Antje Stahl contributes with an introductory essay about the practice’s evolvement focusing on the Berlin phase from 2006, concluding with the move to 0154 San Gimignano Lichtenberg in the spring of 2021, which is going to initiate a new phase. A nexus completes the monograph with a conversation with Nikolaus Kuhnert (ARCH+) providing an insight into earlier projects, collaborations, and new directions to be tested in the future.
