0213.2 Legislating Architecture | Architecting after Politics (*****S) ×

The exhibition, realized in cooperation with the online TV channel station+ (ETH Zurich) and Allmeinde Commongrounds, presents the first three films of the ongoing collaboration between Brandlhuber+ and artist and director Christopher Roth. 0187.2 Legislating Architecture describes a model of thinking and acting that addresses the rules and regularities of architecture. 0199 The Property Drama focuses on the questions “Who owns the land?”. The latest film 0213 Architecting after Politics continues what the films Legislating Architecture and The Property Drama began and poses a crucial question of our time: Who is building the world? The films give answers to these question through an array of case studies, brought together as cohesive dialogues. Allmeinde Commongrounds in Lech am Arlberg in Austria was one of the case studies, where the film was shown parallel to the exhibition at the Vorarlberger Architektur Institut in Dornbirn (0213.1 Legislating Architecture | Architecting after Politics (*****S)). In addition to the three films, a second short film was created and screened, which is dedicated to the community of Lech am Arlberg. Allmeinde Commongrounds is both an initiative and location that was founded in 2000 by Gerold and Katia Schneider and asks how the ground can be thought of and designed today as a commons.
