Horst 19 is the design for the center stage of the Horst Arts & Music festival 2019 that took place at Asiat near Volfoorde, a former military site, which has been taken over by plantlife in recent years. Horst Arts & Music is a festival conceived as a platform for contemporary electronic music, inventive in-situ art, and architecture. In 2019, Horst Arts & Music aligned a three-day immersive music festival with longer-term trajectories in which architects were invited to create unique stages and dancefloors, and in which contemporary artists were commissioned to enter into dialogue with their surroundings through site-specific new productions. For the center stage, located in a former industrial warehouse, Brandlhuber+ installed a room-high 90-degree mirror triangle that spans a 360-degree backdrop and multiplies the perspectives of artist and dancers, creating different encounters with people, space, light, and music.
