This monograph presents architecture projects of b&k+ and Brandlhuber+ carried out between 1996 and 2018 and traces back the office’s aim to develop design ideas out of seemingly limiting conditions such as the legal framework or economical provisions. The issue includes two critical essays on the practice’s work by Bart Lootsma, who reflects on the main concepts behind the architecture of Brandlhuber+, and Moritz Küng, who reviews various Brandlhuber+ publications. The photographs of the completed projects and architectural models by Hisao Suzuki provide a deep insight into the design processes of the practice.
